CPLC 10K Pilot Projects Competition

The CPLC 10K Pilot Program Competition for 2015 has just finished up. In this program, a student/postdoc in a CPLC lab had to team up with another student/postdoc from a non-CPLC UIUC lab to write a joint one page proposal to request funds up to $10,000 in order to seed a new project. The first competition drew 10 applications representing 13 CPLC labs and 12 non-CPLC labs. Of those 10 applications, 7 finalists were chosen and invited to give 10 minute talks at a special symposium. 4 of those 7 finalists had winning proposals, which are listed below.
